Words in the Drawing: “This is a very small house.  When I was young I stayed in a farm house in Bukit Mertajam. I was born in Sang Kak, Nibong Tebal.  My father and mother passed away when I was 2 years and 4 years old respectively.  After that I followed two elder brothers to Penang, where they were working there.  My eldest brother was an importer so I tagged along with him and stayed in different places.  We had stayed in Macalister Road, Jelutong and Malay Street before.  At the age of 6, my elder brother returned to Bukit Mertajam to run a shop that sells ducklings.  Besides ducklings, we also sold chicks and eggs.  When I was 8 years old, I was contracted with Leprosy which changed my life drastically.”
